2025 Quarterly Pre-Placement Testing
NOTICE: Only active PSEG employees are eligible for Quarterly Testing
If you’re interested in moving into certain roles, you will be required to pass one of our pre-placement tests. Pre-placement testing helps predict performance so that capable and qualified employees are matched with job opportunities.
For Practice Tests, Skill Builders and Test Brochures, you can visit online practice tests at www.eei.org/practicetests. When prompted, please enter the following to login:

We offer six pre-placement tests on a quarterly basis:
- Customer Service Representative II
- SASS A (Clerical) Support and Administrative Selection System
- TECH B (Technician Occupations Selection System)
- POSS C MASS (Plant Operator Selection System / Mechanical Aptitude Selection System)
- Gas Battery
- CAST A (Construction and Skilled Trades)
2025 Testing Schedule
Testing will occur in January, February, April, May, July, August, October, and November.

This test is being administered to create a pool of test qualified internal candidates in the event positions become available in the future.
The Customer Service Representative Exam was designed and validated to predict success in Customer Service work.
The following are examples of PSEG job titles covered by the validation study (this is not necessarily an exhaustive list; to learn whether a job opening requires this test, please consult the specific job posting):
* F367A Inbound Credit & Credit Representative,
* F367B Residential Collection Representative
* Customer Service Representative
Test results remain valid indefinitely unless/until either test standards are changed and/or a new validated testing process is implemented.

- Test Time: 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
- Location: PSEG Headquarters, Newark, NJ
- Available Seats: 18 (first come, first serve seating)
At a later date, you will be notified by email that you have been selected for testing. Once we reach the 18 seats reserved for this session, you will be placed on a waiting list and invited to test in this session if one of the registered examinees cannot attend or if an additional test date is added due to the volume of registrations.
Please remember to be eligible for this session you must be both an active PSEG employee and UWUA member and must not have taken this test within 90 days of the exam date.
