PSEG Foundation to Grant $1 Million to Local Organizations

The PSEG Foundation announced today the 2023 request for proposals for the annual Neighborhood Partners Program, with grants available ranging from $500 to $15,000. Eligible 501(c)(3) organizations in New Jersey and Long Island, New York are encouraged to apply. Applications will be evaluated and grants awarded based on demonstrated program effectiveness, depth, breadth and overall alignment with the PSEG Foundation strategic pillars, which are environmental sustainability, social justice and equity and economic empowerment.

PSE&G is prepared for the severe weather expected this weekend that includes strong wind gusts ahead of thunderstorms. Winds will become strong Saturday and could reach hazard levels. There is a chance for strong thunderstorms on Saturday with showers ending after midnight. These conditions may cause tree limbs to break and pull down wires, causing outages.

For the second consecutive year, Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G), New Jersey’s largest utility with 2.3 million electric customers and 1.9 million gas customers, has received the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award in the Energy Efficiency Program Delivery category from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy.
PSEG Nuclear Names Shelly Kugler VP, Corporate Operations Support

In a historic move, Shelly Kugler is now PSEG Nuclear’s Vice President, Corporate Operations Support — making her PSEG Nuclear’s first woman vice president. PSEG Nuclear operates the nation’s second-largest nuclear power site, which includes three units in South Jersey: Salem 1, Salem 2 and Hope Creek.
