Third-grade students at St. Francis Academy received a special visit on June 17 from the Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey (PDFNJ) and the PSEG Foundation to celebrate the distribution of the Third Grade Healthy Life, Healthy Decisions Coloring and Activity Book, a resource that promotes drug-free and healthy living. This educational event marked a milestone in the campaign, which has now reached 40,000 third graders across New Jersey in 2025 alone.

PSE&G’s Summer Relief Initiative Protecting Residential Customers from Higher Costs This Summer Moves Forward

Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) today announced the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU) approved PSE&G’s proposal to provide all residential customers with a temporary credit that will offer relief on their summer electric bills. The credit will combat the significant electric supply price increase that is the result of PJM’s capacity price auction. PSE&G’s relief measures, inclusive of a Summer Moratorium – an expansion of the Winter Termination Program and waiving reconnection fees – are part of PSE&G’s proactive Summer Relief Initiative designed to protect residential customers from higher costs this summer.

PSE&G Proposes New Solutions To Help Customers Dealing With Upcoming Energy Price Increases

PSE&G today announced that it is amending its May 7, 2025 filing with the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU) to provide additional short term relief for mitigating the impact of recent significant increases in electric supply costs caused by PJM’s high capacity market prices. In the filing, PSE&G is responding to requests for temporary solutions from Gov. Phil Murphy issued in a press release yesterday, in addition to a one-time waiver of carrying costs for credits that might be issued this summer, pending BPU action.

For the 11th year, the PSEG Foundation invites nonprofits to apply for funding that helps close critical gaps for New Jersey and Long Island communities, through its Neighborhood Partners Program (NPP). Beginning May 15, 2025, the NPP will accept applications for up to $1.2 million in grants ranging from $500 to $15,000 to eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofits.
