2026 Neighborhood Partners Program

• Please note, due to the large volume of applications, we are unable to provide feedback or guidance on areas of consideration regarding your application.
• A Selection Committee will evaluate all applications.
• Awardees will be selected based on demonstrated program effectiveness, depth, breadth, and overall alignment with the PSEG Foundation strategic pillars.
• Grant awards range from $500 to $15,000.
• All applicants will receive a notification of approval or declination starting in mid-September and through November 2026 from CorporateCitizenship@pseg.com. In some cases, decisions may be made prior to this timeframe.

PROGRAM RULES:
    Eligibility

• The organization must be an IRS approved 501(c)3 organization and in good standing with the IRS.
• Nonprofits can only receive one (1) grant per calendar year from the PSEG Foundation.
• Organization and program must be within PSEG's service territory or operating territory (Salem County).
• Requests must be for program support. Consideration will be granted for requests focused on capacity building and general operating exclusive of allocations for utility bills. Capital campaigns, capital projects, bricks and mortar, third party support and event sponsorships will not be considered.
• Requests must be for an upcoming grant cycle (after June 1, 2026) and cannot be back dated for a grant term that has concluded. If applying for a summer program, keep in mind that decisions will not be made until the fall of 2026, therefore funding requests should be for the following year's summer program.
• Funding consideration will be provided for programs in alignment with one or more of the PSEG.

Foundation pillars:

1. The Environmental Sustainability pillar promotes environmental stewardship by expanding environmental education and broadening the message around energy efficiency, which empowers communities to make informed, sustainable choices. By working to preserve ecosystems, encourage conservation, and foster environmental justice, we help build healthier neighborhoods.
2. The Community Well-Being pillar focuses on strengthening the systems, resources and relationships that enable communities to thrive and withstand crises. We will help individuals and families live safe, connected, and fulfilling lives within their communities by supporting initiatives that promote stability and long-term resilience, inclusive of disaster preparedness and recovery.
3. The Economic Empowerment pillar focuses on upward economic mobility that expands STEM educational opportunities, advances workforce readiness, addresses food insecurity and basic needs. Through this support we will address affordability and create long-term economic security for the communities we serve.

We will not consider support for the following:

1. Organizations that do not meet IRS, and charitable giving regulatory requirements.
2. Programs/organizations for which PSEG is asked to serve as the sole funder.
3. Athletic, labor, or fraternal groups.
4. Endowments.
5. Sectarian purpose programs that promote religious doctrine or exclude participants based on religion.
6. Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, gender or marital status.
7. Political causes, candidates, organizations, and/or campaigns.
8. Organizations with a primary purpose of influencing legislation.
9. State government, state government agencies, municipalities, and municipal agencies.
10. Organizations identified as involved with terrorist groups by the Office of Homeland Security.
11. Funding requests for general operating, capital campaigns, capital projects, bricks and mortar, third party support and event sponsorships will not be considered.

TIMELINE:

• June 1: Program Launches - eligible nonprofit organizations must apply via the 2026 NPP application portal.
• June 30: Program deadline - applications submitted after 11:59 P.M. on June 30 will not be considered. We highly advise early submission following our June 1 launch to avoid potential submission discrepancies and ensure your submission is successfully processed before the deadline rush.
• (DUE TO THE HIGH VOLUME OF APPLICATIONS – EXTENSION REQUESTS BEYOND THE DEADLINE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED)
• July 1 - August 31: Application assessment.
• Mid- September – November: Notifications of approval or declination will be sent out via email from CorporateCitizenship@pseg.com.
• Mid-September through November: Payment disbursement.
